Apple Crisp Recipe
Description: submitted by Laura from Iowa This recipe fills 1 Square Baker (see below product picture) Serves 1-2 people Ingredients Needed for 1 Square Baker: 2.5 - 3 cups of sliced & peeled apples 2 Tablespoons of sugar 3/4 cups of regular rolled oats 1/4 cup of brown sugar 1/4 cup flour 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 3 Tablespoons of cold butter Ingredients Needed for 2 Square Bakers or 1 Pie Plate: 5 - 6 cups of sliced & peeled apples 4 Tablespoons of sugar 1 1/2 cups of regular rolled oats 1/2 cup of brown sugar 1/2 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 6 Tablespoons of cold butter Optional Ingredients: Vanilla Ice Cream Coffee Ice Cream |
Directions
1. Peel & slice your favorite apple and place in a Square Baker or pie plate.
2. Gently stir in sugar onto the apples
3. Mix oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a medium mixing bowl.
4. Cut in the butter.
5. Pour oat mixture over the apples.
6. Bake at 375F for 40 - 50 minutes or until apples are fork tender and topping is golden brown.
7. Serve slightly warm with a scoop of vanilla or cinnamon ice cream.
